Since the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding throughout the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The application window will shut on 15 December 2024, and you will find not many days left to post applications. Eligible pupils are urged to apply promptly to secure financial guidance for their post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.
Nkabane mentioned this pivotal moment marks the fruits of many years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their tests with dedication and confidence.
With Just more than 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this 12 months's matric tests, across South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public in the department's preparedness to nsfas administer the examinations effortlessly.
Nkabane highlighted an array of possibilities offered in the Post-School Education and Training (PSET) system, which is open to all matriculants in search of nsfas further schooling and skills development.

• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Giving skills development and general education for students who want to continue learning.
